NATALEE THOMAS

THE EVOLUTION OF GEMOLOEE

My journey as a jewelry artist began over twenty years ago in San Francisco, where I first fell in love with the craft of metalsmithing. After apprenticing with a local jewelry artist, I launched my own line and began selling in boutiques throughout the Bay Area. In 2005, I opened Adorna Bella—a boutique jewelry store in North Beach that celebrated the work of independent designers and local artisans.

Those years shaped not only my craft, but my understanding of what jewelry means to people: the way a single piece can hold memory, meaning, and emotion.

One of the most transformative moments in my career came when a close friend asked me to design a custom engagement ring. I discovered how deeply fulfilling it was to create something so personal and symbolic. From that experience, Gemologee was born—a studio devoted to crafting bespoke pieces that celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.

Today, after relocating with our family from the Bay Area to Darien, Connecticut, I continue to handcraft each Gemologee piece with the same passion, precision, and sense of purpose that started this journey.

THE MATERIALS

Every Gemologee creation begins with integrity. We work exclusively with ethically sourced, conflict-free gemstones and responsibly mined precious metals — including gold, silver, and platinum — chosen for their beauty, origin, and enduring value. Our commitment to sustainability is not a trend but a philosophy: to honor both the Earth and the artistry it inspires. As the industry evolves, so too does our practice — continually refining how we source, design, and create with conscience and care.

THE CREATIONS

Like the gemstones that inspire them, no two of my creations are ever the same. Each piece is a study in individuality — a balance of artistry, intention, and soul. Whether it’s a bold statement necklace, a whisper of gold at the ear, or a bespoke engagement ring crafted to mark a love story, every design is made to illuminate the wearer’s inner light — to reflect their strength, beauty, and essence in timeless form.
